Drift Racing

Drifting began in Japan about 10 years ago, and this cutting-edge motorsport has spawned a whole new culture of racers and tuners, one whose restless energy and rule-breaking mentality has a lot in common with other extreme sports. The JIC team, which grew out of JIC Magic—one of the premier manufacturers of street suspension systems—takes part in events and races worldwide. Its drivers routinely take top prizes and set world records. JIC is also an engineering and mechanical powerhouse. In September of 2007, the company unveiled the first Porsche drift car—a 993 Turbo—a feat no one thought possible.
